Workers Compensation Premium Advocacy

CHSS has written to government ministers, regulators and sector leaders
calling for urgent action on workers compensation premiums affecting
disability providers.

Despite reducing assessed workers compensation claims costs by
95.5% over three years, CHSS faces a
2026/27 premium of $1.34 million, equivalent to
10.7% of annual revenue. CHSS is seeking a return to its
standard premium base rate and broader reforms to better align workers
compensation costs with current performance and NDIS funding assumptions.
